Today's cat report
At grocery shopping this morning, I bought a catnip-filled fish toy for the cats. They've all been having turns with it, not fighting over it like I expected with one toy and three cats. At the moment, it's lying abandoned in the middle of the rug.
Macaroon begged me for a cheesie when I was eating them earlier, because she's a cheesie hound. Always begs (and gets a little bit when I have them.) I gave her two little bits of cheesie and then the third one made her urf. That's it, she's just done herself out of any more cheesies the whole rest of her life now.
Tumbleweed wouldn't eat much of his dinner in the freshly-cleaned pantry. I guess the smell of Pine-Sol on the floor put him off. He's also on a steroid for a week in addition to his current Atopica because his mouth looked a little owie when he had his last recheck at the vet.
Sodapop got shut in the bathroom for the entire time it took me to read the paper this morning. It's because he's a poky eater, and I while I did check on him after about five minutes, since he wasn't done, I sat down and forgot to check on him again till I was done the paper. If he'd only meowed once, I'd have clued right in. But he's a quiet, unassuming cat.
A young, black tuxedo cat has been trapped and dropped off for me to take to the vet for neutering tomorrow, and then keep for recovery before his release. I'm assuming he's a he and naming him Monkey, because he's really aggressive. In the space it took me to put food and water into the cage, right by the door, he growled, hissed, lunged forward three times, and did everything but fling poo at me. I shudder to think what'll happen once he uses the litter box.

they're all so different aren't they?
Good luck with Monkey........
*waves at Sodapop, Tumbleweed, and Macaroon*
I guess maybe he really is a feral.
