Cheeky Munkeys and the Squirrel Mafia
So it turns out I do have some internet access at my friends' cottage -- from the front porch I can pick up a nearby wireless network. This is also prime chipmunk locale, and they come up almost to my feet to eat peanuts that I toss onto the planks. My hosts picked up a six-pound bag of peanuts in the shell just for me to feed chipmunks with. There's also gang of five black squirrels who started approaching the porch, trying to muscle in, but I threw peanuts for them way out onto the grass.
Am I getting any writing done? Not much. With eight bird feeders within sight of the porch as well, this is better than TV.

yay for skwerls & chipmunkies! Maybe you can get them to eat out of your hand. Might have better luck w/squirrels for that.
cottage looks like it's nice & relaxing. enjoy! I hope you get some writing done, or at least get some inspiration!
I did get one chippie to eat out of my fingers, and then he nibbled my fingertips to see if they were peanuts, too!
I knitted together some bits of the last act of the current novel today, but I think the cottage has some magic, because I re-found on my laptop a scene I'd written for a future novel project that I had looked for some months ago and was thinking I'd have to rewrite.
We had a hailstorm today, and I have some photos from that and a great oriole picture to post, just not with this connection.
